Discover A Great Way To Animate Your Own Ideas

In the beginning of the summer, I went to a Digital Family Summit in Philadelphia with my mother and brother. At the summit, I went to a workshop where I learned to use a program named Scratch. Scratch was created by the students from MIT.

Scratch allows you to animate characters. With them you can make games and videos. I personally like using Scratch for making games. I have made several projects with scratch and plan to make many more. Although Scratch is fun to use, I think it's best to use it for simple ideas. Sometimes I get carried away with my projects and they get a little large. When this happens, Scratch gets a little glitchy. I will program the characters to do certain things but they just sit there. Even though this may be true, I think that Scratch is fun and this is still a great project to use.

If anyone would like to download Scratch, you can go to www.scratch.mit.edu. On this website you can also view other peoples projects or post some yourselves.

Let me know in the comments below if you tried and what projects you made.

I think that it is really cool to go to such a workshop! While designing games might not seem like my thing, I like using a program called MMD (MIkuMIkuDance). You can use the preloaded PMD models and move them with the series of bones attached to their body. I could make this into a post actually... lets wait and see!
